Jason Hunt

Jason A Hunt is an engaging keynote speaker, leadership trainer, and author known for helping individuals and organizations unlock the power of people-centric influence. With over two decades of experience across diverse industries — from manufacturing and senior care, to finance and public service — Jason provides practical insights on influence, leadership, and self-development that drive real results.

The president of the National Speakers Association of Minnesota and a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP - a distinction that only 17% of professional speakers worldwide hold), Jason's dynamic presentations blend humor, actionable strategies, and relatable stories. His signature principles of Care, Connection, Collaboration, and Courage empower leaders at all levels to create strong cultures, communicate effectively, and achieve meaningful outcomes.

Jason's first major leadership role was to run a branch of 100 church members in outer Siberia when he was only 19. He later took on the position of principal of a large middle school, where he failed miserably. Through the school of hard knocks, he learned that leadership has little to do with title and a lot to do with influence - your ability to get people to think or act differently. He left education to help others understand how to develop influence with people. He is now the founder and CEO of Eye Squared Leadership and he has had the pleasure of influencing over 30,000 people in organizations large and small. Jason has worked with Fortune 500 companies, government organizations, and small businesses, delivering transformative sessions that resonate long after the event concludes.

BECOMING A PERSON OF INFLUENCE
We all want to live lives that matter, but just how do you make a positive difference? Some believe that you must have an impressive title to do so, but that is a mistake. The best leaders recognize that no matter where you are in the organization, you have influence - and intentionally using that influence to make a positive difference makes you a leader. This is a highly engaging and motivating session on leadership, breaking this complicated subject down into a simple framework that you can use to immediately get people to think or act differently. Follow the framework you'll be able to grow your influence with just about anybody. As you do so, you'll watch your influence lead to a great positive impact in the lives of others - at home, at work, and in every other area of life.

MIND YOUR MONKEYS: HOW TO HELP PEOPLE SOLVE THEIR OWN PROBLEMS
Overworked? Stressed out? Too much on your plate? Well, these could be symptoms that you're taking on responsibilities that are not actually yours. As a leader, there are many monkeys (tasks) that need to be completed. Great leaders delegate these monkeys to others and ensure that the monkeys stay off of their backs. Unfortunately, too many people feel like they have to have all the answers and solve all the problems, thus taking the monkey back. This is not effective leadership and doing so will often lead to stress and burnout. Learn how to share your monkeys through effective delegation and how to keep these monkeys off your back by teaching others how to solve their own problems. Doing so not only helps you become a better leader, it teaches others critical thinking skills, and it frees up your time. Begin now to mind your monkeys and help people to take ownership over their responsibilities.

THE 7 LAWS OF SELF-LEADERSHIP
Life can be disappointing - not getting that promotion, KPI's not being met, a dysfunctional team, the business not growing, or maybe you're stuck in a mid-life crisis. Unfortunately, the cause of this could be you. It's true, the hardest person to lead is "me". For many of us, we tend to put the needs of others first, leaving our personal growth and development up to chance. Just like a sharp ax will cut down more trees, when we intentionally invest in ourselves, we can have a more positive impact on the lives of others. This direct and inviting message encourages you to leave your comfort zone, imagine what is possible within you, and become intentional in your personal growth. Master these 7 Laws and you'll become a master of your mindset, your time, and your learning, thus dramatically increasing your capacity to give to and lead others.
